Drilling holes in glass can be used for a variety of craft projects.
Once a hole is formed it can be enlarged with the same diamond bit. Just slowly enlarge the diameter and remember to use plenty of coolant.
Put a drop of the oil on the glass and a drop on the diamond bit.
It is always recommended to use gloves, eye and mouth protection when working with glass.
The key to success is lubricant. You have to keep the glass cool during the grinding process or it will crack. We used Dremel cutting oil but you could use any oil or even water.
As you start to grind the glass a white glass powder will be formed. Once this powder is dry its time to add more coolant. You do not want to press that hard just let the grinder do its job. Should only take a couple minutes to get through the glass.
Start with a diamond bit for a dremmel grinder or drill. We are actually not going to be drilling holes but grinding them through the glass.
