For best results run water through the hose at a trickle. This way the sun has time to warm it up as it travels through the hose.
Additional heat can be harnessed by the addition of a black rubber hose. Wrap and secure the hose to the floating pool heater as shown. We tapped into the pools water supply to its slide.
Thats it. Your simple DIY Solar Pool Heater is complete. You will need a few of these, depending on the pools size.
In addition to the foams adhesive burn several holes through the black plastic and use wire ties to clamp the foam to the pvc as shown.
Cut lengths of foam insulation to fit each side. The pipe insulation should have an adhesive film. This adhesive will secure the foam to the black plastic.
Cut black plastic slightly larger than the pvc frame and temporarily secure with duct tape.
Glue a 90 degree elbow onto each pvc pipe and assemble square pvc frame as illustrated.

4 two foot long pieces of one inch pvc
4 90 degree pvc elbows
pvc glue
6 mil Black Plastic Tarp
Foam pipe insulation
Duct Tape
Wire Ties
