How to make a Fishing themed ring toss hook it game Chech out this fishing themed outdoor ring toss hook it game. We carved the striped bass out of pine. This part of the project was covered on a previous video (link below). We used a fishing pole as the shaft, braided fishing line and a 2 inch brass ring. The end result is a striped bass ring toss hook it game for anyone that loves the ocean and fishing.
Attach a string to the end of the dowel and the other end to a 2" brass ring. A hook should be screwed into the 4x4 upright so that the ring just catches on the hook and does not fit into wood upright. If the hook is not long enough, add a block of wood.
The snap brackets can be attached to any post upright and will secure the dowel. Make sure the dowel angled up as shows.
Start with two PVC 1/2" Electrical Conduit Snap Straps and a 7/8 x 48" wood dowel. Both available at any local hardware store.
For the Nautical look try adding one of our DIY Fence Fish as the extension block for the games hook. Check out you tube how to video for details on these easy to make fish art.
