Etched Wine Glasses
You can enhance the art by added color with glass paint. (Right) blue paint was added to give the effect of water for this Tropical themed wine glass. When painting glass be sure to follow manufacturers instructions which usually include baking the wine glass in an oven and then letting it slowly cool while still in the oven. This lengthly process hardens the paint and makes it top shelf dishwasher safe.
After 60 seconds rinse the wine glass in fresh water. At the same time you can start to peal off the adhesive film. Its as simple as that.
Once the template is adhered to the wine glass its time to dab on the glass etching creme. Try not to brush the creme on because you do not want to force any creme under the adhesive film. Once the entire template is covered let it sit for at least 60 seconds.
Start by tracing a template of any art onto the adhesive film. This film is available from any art supply store. Then pean the back from the film and apply to your wine glass. Larger designs my not adhere flat to the glass. Work out and bubbles or folds with your fingers or with the side of the marker.
