Let the Kydex cool for at least ten minutes. The knife sheath can then be removed from the press. You can finish cutting out the shape with a pin or band saw and then smooth out the shape on a belt sander. The halves can be attached with grommets. We heated up the Kydex in an oven at 325 degrees. It only takes a few minutes to warm up. Test it with a spatula. As soon as its flexible take it out. You do not want to overheat it.
We used a simple press made from foam and 1x6 pine. Lay the heated Kydex on top of the knife and in the position you want and then clamp the press together,
