Electric Outlet Wall Safe

Once the outlet box is mounted in the wall. The cover, complete with false outlet plugs, is held in place by the magnet.  This hidden wall safe is great for hiding prescription medications, jewelry or even cash

Grind or cut a flat surface on the top of the plastic outlet box. This is where the magnetic latch will be attached. Also with the hot glue gun.

Use a crew drive to pry apart the electric outlet. Just the front white plastic will be used. It will be attached to the metal outlet cover plate with a hot glue gun.

All you need to get started is metal outlet cover, electric outlet, Plastic outlet box with tabs from mounting on existing wall, and a magnetic cabinet latch.

This easy to make wall safe is unique from other designs. Unlike some designs which only use friction to hole the plate flush to the wall this design is secure and looks like any standard electric outlet.   How to make an easy DIT Electric Outlet Wall Safe. Check out Youtube video below.
