Holes for the switch or socket can be cut out with a razor.

We glued additional chart paper onto the screw so it would be hidden on the finished product. 

Start by cutting a section of the chart and glueing it onto the switch plate cover with mod podge. Once that dries give it at lease three additional coats of mod podge.

Easy project. All you need is a standard switch plate cover, a nautical Chart and some Mod Podge.
