USA Shaped Carved Wood Waving American Flag Check out this lightweight, easy carved wood USA shaped American Flag. This gives the same overall dimensions as wood flags made from 2x4's but eliminates most of the work and quite a bit of weight. We used wood glue, pipe clamps and an angle grinder. Listed below you will find a complete list of what is needed. Check out our other easy DIY projects each with its own how-to video tutorial.

DIY Large carved wood American Flag made from 2x4s Check out this large carved wood waving American Flag. This Flag was designed for outdoor display. We started the project with 13 2x4s and used a table saw to strip them down to 2.4 wide then cut each to 61". We used pipe clamps to clamp all the boards together and then used an angle grinder with an assortment of wheels to grind and polish the waves. Next, holes were drilled in each board so they could be screwed together. Each board was stained and then glued and screwed together. We used self adhesive vinyl stars, painted the union (blue area) and then pealed each star to expose the wood grain below. Listed below you will find a complete list of what is needed.
