Wood Chip Cast Resin Knife Handles
These one of a kind cast resin knife handles or scales are made from Hard Wood chips and resin. Easy DIY project for the knife maker.
How to make Wood Chip Cast Resin Knife Handles In this short how-to video Dan Berg from www.Bergknifemaking.com shows how to make these one of a kind cast resin knife handles or scales from Hard Wood chips and totalboat thickset resin. For this set of knife scales we used a black base coat, then added the wood chips and let the resin cure. After 24 hours clear resin was used to fill the mold. The results are unique scales that when profiled and mounted on a knife will have a variety of different wood grains emerging from the black base.
